As one of the most competent partners when it comes to cut-

ting tools technology, CERATIZIT continuously optimises and

revises the grade range for milling, drilling, turning, parting and

grooving.

The universe

Within the universe, several galaxies represent the appli-

cations (milling, turning, drilling, parting and grooving).

Every galaxy then consists of single solar systems. Each of

these systems contains their own solutions for special require-

ments. Immersing ourselves deeper into the planetary sys-

tems, and taking a closer look at the planets they reveal them-

selves as our unique grade coatings - the 'Stars'.

The 'STARS'

Each of the STARS is easily recognisable by the colour of its

coating and shows its strengths in the machining of specific

materials and in determined applications.

The BLACKSTARTM grades are highly wear-resistant thanks

to their TiN/TICN/Al2O3 coatings. Due to their excellent

adhesion, these coatings are particularly suitable for the

machining of steel and cast iron.

For high cutting performance in interrupted cutting actions

or with difficult to machine materials, SILVERSTARTM grades

are the first choice.
